Child safety

Frizz is an app for adults. This page says, in plain terms, what we do to keep it that way and what happens when something about a child reaches us. It states what is in place today, nothing more.
1. Adults only
Frizz is for people aged 18 and over. Signing up asks for a date of birth and stops anyone under 18 there. We do not have a version of Frizz for younger people, and there is no setting that lets a child in.
2. We do not allow sexual content involving minors
Any sexual or sexualised content involving a child, any attempt to obtain it, and any attempt to exploit, groom or sexually extort a minor is banned on Frizz. There is no context in which it is acceptable, including "jokes", role play, drawings or AI-generated material.
3. What we scan
Photos and text go through automated checks: profile photos, photos sent in direct messages, intro videos, confessions, Global Chat and live room messages, and frames captured from live rooms. The checks run on our servers after upload and are not something a user can switch off. A moderator looks at what they flag.
4. What happens on a hit
- Automatic suspension. A photo our checks identify as sexual content involving a minor suspends the account that sent it on the spot, before a person has looked, and takes the photo out of everyone's reach. Text the checks read the same way goes straight to a moderator.
- Moderator review. A moderator reviews every such case, as well as every report that mentions a child. Review can lift a suspension that was wrong, or make it permanent.
- Evidence preserved. The content, the account's permanent identifier and the surrounding context are kept, out of the app, rather than deleted, so they are available if they are needed later.
- Bans stick. A banned account's email and sign-in identity cannot be used to sign up again.
5. Evidence and requests from law enforcement
When our checks or a moderator find sexual content involving a minor, the content and the account's permanent identifier are held, out of the app and out of anyone's reach on Frizz, rather than deleted. Law enforcement can ask for it at support@frizz.live, and we answer requests made through the proper legal process.
6. Reporting from inside the app
Every profile, message, confession and live room has a report button. A report about a child, or about anyone sexualising a child, goes to the front of the moderation queue with the room and message context attached. You can report someone without blocking them, and you can block them at the same time so they stop seeing you straight away.
7. Child safety contact
Our designated point of contact for child safety is support@frizz.live. Use it to tell us about a child on Frizz, about content involving a child, or if you are a parent, guardian, law enforcement officer or child-safety organisation with a question or a request. If someone is in danger right now, call your local emergency number first.
8. Changes
This page changes when what we do changes. The date at the top is when it was last reviewed.
