Frizz/Talk to strangers
Talk to strangers who feel the same way
Meeting new people online is easier when you start with something you share. On Frizz, that's how you feel right now.
Five ways to talk to someone new
Not everyone wants a camera on at 1am. Pick whatever fits the night.
Start with a mood, not a bio
Most apps make you sell yourself before anyone says hi. Frizz asks one thing first: how are you feeling? Can't sleep, want to laugh, need to vent, celebrating something. Then it puts you where people said the same.
That's the whole trick. You're not cold-opening a stranger. You're joining a room where everyone's already in the same place, and the conversation is half started.

Things to say when you walk into a room
You don't need a line. These work because they're about the room, not about you.
- "What's the song?" In a music room, it's the easiest question there is.
- "Same, I can't sleep either." The mood did the work. Agree with it.
- "Where's everyone from?" Rooms are worldwide, so there's always an answer.
- "Okay but what happened?" For the vent rooms. People want to be asked.
- A reaction. Tap a 🔥 or a 😂. It counts, and it's how most people start.
If someone stands out, whisper to them. It's private, it's low stakes, and you're both still in the room if it goes nowhere.

Talking to strangers is how friends start
Every friend you have was a stranger once. It just used to happen at school, at work, at the bar. Frizz is a place for it to happen online, on purpose, with people who are 18 or older and showed up to talk.
When someone clicks, add them. Friends can message each other with voice notes, photos and GIFs, and Chemistry ranks the people you'd probably get on with every day, based on who you actually talk to.

Talking to strangers, safely
- Everyone's 18 or older. Date of birth at sign-up, no way around it.
- Your location stays yours. It's never shown to another user.
- People check reports. Moderators see the room and messages, and can end a room or ban an account.
- Block and report are everywhere. On every profile, message, confession and room.
